Laura Jarvis is a Dental Therapist who joined Avondale in 2024. She graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2015, achieving a distinction in clinical practice, and has since gained extensive experience working in a range of general dental practices across Yorkshire. Passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, Laura provides periodontal (gum disease) treatment, oral hygiene education, direct access hygiene appointments, and Airflow® air polishing. She is particularly known for her gentle, thorough, and reassuring approach, helping even the most nervous patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their treatment. Committed to ongoing professional development, Laura is currently studying for a Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Oral Health and Lifestyle Medicine. This advanced training reflects her dedication to helping patients improve both their oral health and overall wellbeing through evidence-based care and education. Outside of dentistry, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and their cocker spaniel. She loves gardening, exploring the Yorkshire Dales, and travelling whenever she has the opportunity. Laura works at the practice on Thursdays.
