Dr Ashish Chakranarayan holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Panjab University, India. Following graduation, he joined the Indian Navy, where he further developed his clinical expertise and completed a Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Demonstrating his commitment to professional development and high standards of patient care, he was awarded the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS RCS Eng) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2020. More recently, he completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (International) with the University of Central Lancashire in Preston in 2024. Ashish is committed to providing high-quality, affordable private dental care, with a particular focus on preventive dentistry, patient education and restorative treatments. He takes a patient-centred approach, ensuring every individual receives personalised, compassionate care and feels fully informed throughout their treatment journey. Outside of dentistry, Ashish enjoys travelling, keeping active at the gym and spending quality time with his family. His extensive training, clinical experience and friendly approach make him a valued member of the team.

Mohamed graduated from Egypt in 2004 and has worked in general dental practice for nearly fifteen years. He is available exclusively for our private and {my}options patients.He has an interest in cosmetic and conservative dentistry. More so, Mohamed offers orthodontic dentistry with the use of clear aligner system. He is keen on keeping up to date with the latest dental techniques to provide the best patient care possible at all times. When not in the practice, Mohamed enjoys reading a good book. He also loves swimming. Mohamed is thrilled to be joining {my}dentist and helping provide his patients with the smile that they deserve, at a price that they can afford.

Dr Matt Gribbon qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Manchester in 2019. Following graduation, he completed his foundation training in North Wales before working as a general dental practitioner with mydentist in Abergele. He then expanded his clinical experience by undertaking core training posts within the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery departments at both the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and Cumberland Infirmary, developing advanced skills in managing complex dental and surgical cases. Matt returned to mydentist in 2022, joining the team at Victoria Place in Carlisle on a part-time basis while continuing to work as a locum in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery when opportunities arise. Committed to furthering his knowledge and providing the highest standard of care, he is currently working towards a Master's degree in Dental Implantology at the Implant Centre of Excellence in Manchester's Salford Quays. He is also undertaking the Master's programme in Clinical Periodontology at the University of Central Lancashire. Known for his calm, reassuring manner and dedication to patient care, Matt takes the time to ensure patients feel comfortable, informed and confident throughout their treatment journey.

Shaun Pitt is a caring and dedicated dentist who works four days a week at mydentist Victoria Place as a private clinician. Originally from Cumbria, Shaun was keen to return to the local area and begin his dental career close to home after qualifying with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Liverpool in 2014. He joined the mydentist family in Carlisle in 2017 and has since built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality dental care in a professional, friendly and reassuring manner. As part of his commitment to making dental treatment accessible and affordable, Shaun offers a dental plan within the practice that allows patients to spread the cost of routine examinations and hygiene appointments. He works closely with the wider clinical team, including Arsha, the Dental Therapist at Victoria Place, and Ruth, the Hygienist at a nearby sister practice, to ensure his patients receive comprehensive preventive and ongoing dental care. Outside of work, Shaun enjoys spending quality time with his family and taking his dog out on walks around the beautiful Cumbrian countryside.

Arsha Shabeer holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from Rajiv Gandhi University in India and is registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) in the UK. After qualifying as a dentist in 2019, she relocated to Carlisle and joined mydentist in February 2023 as a Dental Therapist. Arsha is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centred care, with a particular focus on preventive dentistry, patient education and restorative treatments. She takes pride in helping patients improve and maintain their oral health in a comfortable and supportive environment. Patients can book directly with Arsha for hygiene appointments without needing to see a dentist first. She offers a full range of hygiene treatments, including routine scale and polish appointments, deep cleaning treatments and stain removal, helping patients achieve healthier teeth and gums while maintaining a confident smile. Outside of dentistry, Arsha enjoys travelling and exploring new destinations and cultures. She also has a passion for cooking and loves experimenting with a variety of cuisines in her spare time. Her friendly approach and dedication to patient care make her a valued member of the team at mydentist Victoria Place.
